Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated Public Health Practitioner within the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme, specifically with the 5-19 (School Nursing) service in Cambridge City. You will work in an integrated team, supporting the School Nurse to deliver services to children, young people, and families. The position involves providing clinically effective, high-quality care, assisting in family-centred public health, and supporting the delivery of the 4,5,6 model of care within the Healthy Child Programme. A current NMC registration is essential, and the role requires a driving licence and access to a car for work across the locality.

- Sound knowledge of child development
- Knowledge of the role of the Healthy Child Program practitioner in family centred Public Health
Desirable criteria
- Experience of academic study at level 6 in the last 3 years
- Experience of Supporting and supervising students in either a Practice or Assessors Role
- Experience of multi-agency and partnership working
- Experience of delivering health promotion or public health programmes
- Experience of Safeguarding adults and/or children
- Knowledge of the role of the Healthy Child Program Practitioner in Public Health
- Previous work as a member of a health vising, school nursing or other community based team
- Experience at participating in health surveillance programmes
- Experience at managing or leading staff
- Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
- Proven ability to work autonomously but also able to function well as part of a team
- Proficient IT Skills
- Understanding of issues relating to diversity
