Role summary
This is a 12-month fixed-term/secondment opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the medicine research delivery team at Cardiff and Vale University R&D. The role involves contributing to the assessment and management of care pathways for patients in clinical trials, including recruitment, education, monitoring, and data collection. The post holder will support a portfolio of studies, including gastroenterology and endocrine medicine, based at the University Hospital of Wales.

- Registered Nurse - Current registration with NMC
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of clinical and/or research terminology
- Evidence of previous patient/client and Multi Disciplinary Team contact within work environment.
- Clinical experience gained in NHS.
- Knowledge of clinical and/or research terminology
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to communicate complex information to patients/carers/ members of MDT
- Team player whilst possessing ability to work independently.
- Well organised and able to plan own workload.
- Positive attitude and respect for others

A Support and Delivery infrastructure was established in 2015 in order to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness and international competitiveness in the research environment within Wales.
