Role summary
This is a part-time fixed-term Senior Occupational Therapist position within a Local Mental Health Team covering Broxtowe and Hucknall. The role involves working with adults with mental health issues, conducting assessments, formulating interventions, and developing goal-oriented occupational therapy plans. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with patients, carers, and partner organisations, receiving professional and clinical supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy service collaboratively with patients in their own homes and local environments.
- Work with an assistant in the provision of intervention plans.
- Conduct specific assessments, formulation and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with patients, their carers/families and partnership organisations to develop creative, goal oriented, time limited occupational therapy plans.
Essential criteria
- BSc or MSc Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Specialist knowledge/post registration and experience of working in a mental health setting
- Physical ability to perform a full range of duties
- OT Practice Fieldwork Educator
- oWillingness to undertake clinical practice, education, and training to enhance service delivery
- Assessment & OT process skills
- Effective risk management
- Skilled in motivating others
- Team working
- Quality & audit skills
- A driving license is required for this post, however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the equality act 2010
