Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 District Nurse Team Leader to join the Greenwich Neighbourhood Nursing Team. Essential criteria

  • BSc Specialist Community Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing
  • Evidence of managing a District Nursing Team at Band 6 level for minimum of 2 years

Desirable criteria

  • Mentor Course or recognised alternative, eg.998
  • Proven Senior Nurse clinical experience at band 6 or equivalent in an acute or community setting
  • Extensive experience of assessing and providing care to people with complex and long term conditions
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within organisational boundaries
  • Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in order to manage difficult situations/conflict with positive outcomes
  • Proactively seeks opportunities for service improvement and solution findings
  • Commitment to own professional development and willingness to develop new clinical skills/competencies
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within organisational boundaries
