Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced radiographer to join the team as a Lead Radiographer Reporting or Trainee. The role involves training to report plain film studies and supporting the development and operational management of the service. The successful candidate will work clinically, perform managerial tasks, and cover out-of-hours and weekend shifts. This post may be offered as a training opportunity under Annex 21 AfC Terms & Conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for administration, performance monitoring and data quality of the PACS/RIS and other integrated systems.
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Participate in the on-call, flexible working and out of hours service as required.
- Provide clinical leadership and act as a radiographic clinical expert in the relevant field.
- Responsible for the day to day management of the designated department, planning and prioritising workload.
- Contribute to the recruitment, selection and appointment of professional, technical and support staff.
Essential criteria
- BSc in Radiography and/or or equivalent Qualification and/or Equivalent Experience
- Post Graduate Certificate in the relevant modality or equivalent significant experience in the modality (Annex 21)
- HCPC Registered
- Significant post graduate clinical experience
- Management experience
- PACS experience
- Manage self and others
- Experience of Participation in emergency single handed out of hours duties
- QA testing
- IV injection/cannulation
